Revolver
[edit]Gary Mallaber, John Massaro, and Byron Allred were involved in writing a song titled "Unbelievable." Coincidentally, all three were in the Steve Miller Band between 1982 and 1983.
In 1984, a film titled Night of the Comet was released. The soundtrack (Night of the Comet: Original Soundtrack) contains this song as performed by a band called Revolver. This cannot be the same Revolver as Revolver or Revolver as they did not come about until 1990 and 2006 respectively.
What is unclear to me is whether Revolver was a Mallaber/Massaro/Allred side-project or whether Revolver is a band that simply covered the song written by Mallaber/Massaro/Allred. Further, if it is the latter, it is unclear whether the song was originally recorded by the Steve Miller Band and, if not, by whom it was originally recorded.
If Mallaber was involved in a band called Revolver in the '80s, methinks it bears mentioning in the present article.
